RE:do we not have any responsibility for India?
by Sujoy Chakravarty on Jul 27, 2008 11:07 PM

When I say, the citizen of India I mean every citizen be it Bengali or marathi or else. I only identify myself as an Indian. I am only trying to say that it's very easy to blame others but it's very difficult to accept that I am also responsible for all this situation. It does not make much difference if we choose CPIM, Congress, BJP or any independent MP or MLA. The point is we p[eople think that once we chose an MP or MLA then our duty towards the country is over . Now, it's the duty of that MP or MLA to run the country whatever way he wantsand we get busy in money making and family responsibilities. But that's not true. He is only our representative and represent our voice in parliament. we should always protest if he is doing something wrong. But if we don't protest then we are indirectly supporting him. That is the actual problem of our society. Most of the people of India don't protest if somebody is doing something till it does not affect that person individualy. we should get out of this divided individual mentality and work for our country collectively as an Indian and only Indian no other identity.
