you make this deal appear very simple.. but is it so? Do you think Condaleeza Rice lied to US Congress when she said that "we are getting much more than CTBT from this deal with respect to India". I am sure you know that similar deal was offered during NDA govt but was refused because they did not give US what they wanted but same has been given by Congress govt.. these are as per US officials but they won't disclose what has been accepted by MMS that was not by ABV. About 7 reactors out of IAEA safegaurds, are you sure thay are enough to maintain our ability to make nuclear weapons as per our current requirement or is it first step in curtailing of our nuclear weapons. While down the line we may use latest super computers to do simulation and refine our warheads but as of today we neither have ability nor technology to do that and the effects of deal would come much faster.. it is not that both are related and run in parallel.
