India has plenty of Thorium reserves in the form of beach sands. We dont have sufficinet Uranium reserve, our uranium are low grade. if we bult uranium based reactor we have to depend upon neuclear fuel from US or other contry. They are not going to give at free of cost. Sarkai scientist are developing thorium based reactor (fast breeding reactor) one such protype has been constructed in kalpakam, Tamil nadu. Near feature, we can also develop thorium based nuclear fuel and export to other contries. Sarkari scientists are doing good job for 8000 Rs basic salery.
