RE:when will ISRO ?
by Tathagatha Alerjee on Aug 05, 2008 02:52 AM

ISRO will send a mission to alpha centauri (the closest star from the sun) in two years. Our babus are busy solving an equation, once they figure out (a b )^2 = a^2 b^2 2 a.b, the final equation for launching the rocket will be solved. To find such a person who can expand (a b)^2, physics Nobel Laureate Arjun Singh is coming up with formulas that will revolutionize India's education.

Dream on man, ISRO, at best can compete with Paki, Afghani research organizations. Show me at least one guy in IIT JEE top 100, who joins ISRO. They may not join NASA either but most of them end up becoming profs in US universities and contribute indirectly to NASA (sometimes). Forget JEE, if you show me a person with in CET top 2000 from karnataka who has joined ISRO and satyed there for more than 5 years, i will give you a million dollars...when this is the situation, dont expect anything.
