Swades was a flop film by box-office standards but even after 50 years if u show Swades to your grandchildren Mr Ratikant Gantayat they will tell u that it was a well made film and the film had soul, Films are always remebered for their stories and performances not box-office collections.

Don - in india Rs 51 crores Hit Status.
Don - in overseas Rs 32 crores An all time Blockbuster in overseas. Overall status runaway hit.
