Film by Kamal-Rajni group

To make a film on St. Thomas, the producers will have to seriously and studiously go deep into the matter and do proper reasearch. It should not be based on technical gimmickry, as has been done in the cases of Shivaji and Dasavatharam. Except for technical brilliance, will they come near such great mastgerpieces like Gone With the Wind, Gandhi, Ben Hur, Ten Commandments, Doctor Zhivago, some of our old classics in Hindi, Bengali, Malayalam (even new films) and many such films in various languages. Sure, Kamal, Rajnikanth etc. are good actors. But their new films have more of technical gimmickry than good stories. See, what has Rajini done with the Tamil version of two beautiful Malayalam films (Chandramukhi and Kuselan in Tamil) by botching them up. Art should be treated very delicately, gentlemen.
It is surprising to note that the new film was launched for production by a man who proudly calls himself an atheist! His opposition may be only towards Hindu gods. That explains why he is so much intent on implementing the Sethusamudram project!!!
