Dear Maddy, All of us are grown up individuals to realize that we apologize when we make a mistake or we realize that we have made a mistake.
I don't see why this actress apologized. Either she is scared of harrassment or does not want to tarnish her career. If she is sorry for wearing that dress, then does that mean she will not wear such clothes again ? That will mean an end to her career.
I do not agree with what she chooses to wear. But I do realize that it is her choice. And we have to respect that.
This "MOB" mentality of harassment when we do not agree with people has to stop. This is a reflection of an intolerant society. Be it Taslima Nasreen, MF Hussain or this actress.
Why don't we respect individual freedom ? If you do not like what people say, ignore them or sue them. But abusing or harrassing is not the way to protest in a nation governed by LAWS.
