Are you completely harebrained, do you think a man from the North is in the city out of his own free-will? It is the simplest of laws of economics that draws him to the cities, there is a demand for labour in Bombay and that draws people from all over the country to any city. Now, respect for the city, what is that, how can a slum-dweller disrespect the city when he does not een have bare minimum facilities of hygiene, he bathes in the open, defecates in the open, is that his fault. Over the years, successive governments have talked about building concrete houses with facilities for them but noting has ever come up and tell me who runs the government there in Maharashtra, how many MLAs and ministers are there in the Maharashtra Legislative assembly and the cabinet respectively? So, tell me, who is responsible for the sorry state of affairs there, the North Indians are there because there is a demand for them, the city cant run without them. And why do you think that Bombay has anything to do with the greatness of the Maharashtrians, it was not built by the Maharashtrians but was developed by the Britishers as a port city to drain India's wealth. In the prrsent Mumbai, the film industry is completely dominatd by the Punjabis and te stock market by the Gujaratis and Sindis, so why are you getting so upset, what is your linguistic/ regional community's great contribution to Mumbai? You have farmers committing suicide in Vidarbha, 30 000 of them, are the North Indians responsible
