Respect the regions - Respect India
by yudhajit tornekar on Sep 09, 2008 03:49 AM

India is not a separate state or an Island,it is an integration of different regions called states, segregated on the basis of language so as to promote unity in diversity to preserve the cultures and traditions of various regional and lingual backgrounds. It is foolishness if any regional leader is not concerned about preserving their language or tradition.Irrespective of the language n religion,it is mandatory for every individual to practice and speak the local language.Though,I am a Maharashtrian born n brought up in Hyderabad,I respect telugu and can read, write and speak it fluently.I never try to dilute the telugu customs n traditions. But u can find a lot of hindi prevails in Hyderabad in day to day use-it is accepted because it is OUR national language n we need to respect it,with out hurting the feelings of the local people.I hope the message is clear-'When ur in Rome,U ought to,do as romans do n speak n respect them' else U deserve to be kicked on ur a** and driven out...
