There is nothing to be ashamed of

Parents should explain their kids that they care more about their kids future and their happiness than the so called fictional concepts such as family pride and status. I see this in many families. They do anything to save this so called social disgrace. Everyone thinks it%u2019s a disgrace cuz they think the others think so.. It%u2019s just needs little understanding and plain reason. Lets face it these concepts of love and self interest goes against our good old traditional big family settings and culture. Since our good old fashion tradition teaches us to sacrifice individual interests for the family and it limits our choices. So why do we glorify individuality in our movies yet we want our kids to follow our guidelines. It%u2019s highly hypocritical.

She felt threatened that her family won%u2019t respect her wishes so she did what a 19 year old does. I am not blaming her family. Every parent want their kids to be happy and successful but make sure you explain them that you wish so not because it gives you a reason to be proud or lights up a candle to your family glory but only because you care about them. Surprisingly Many kids are not sure about that. Tell them you want them to be a doctor or an engineer just because that they might have an easy and happy life, because they get to learn the awesome knowledge about life and science not because you want to brag to your friends about your engineer/doctor son or daughter.
