blockbuster is any film in which the producers gets a profit more than the actual cost of production by a huge margin whereas a hit means profit gained but in a less margin.... 4 ur informatin,swades was a hit overseas but not in india....it was a good film & was critically acclaimed but was not a commercial sucess in india!!the director ashutosh gowariker himself in an interview told that he was dissapointed with the audience response 2 swades in india....if u hav any doubt refer 2 any other sites on the web & u culd get the answer!!!
