I'm not from India but it disgusts me that most Indians (assuming the sample of posters on this site represent the Indian population) seem to have strong age-ist issues with women.
Why cant a woman be successful, enjoy life, have kids they really love and look after and be above 40? It seems like most people in India dont like the idea of any woman having these qualities.
In the West you have Madonna for example who is still well loved, a good mother and still making music for her fans
But it India it seems like the country is booing the return of the woman that is arguably the most successful actress in this industry ever (India's Julia Roberts?) simply because she's not a mom and is hitting 40 this year.
If you ask me, she looks gorgeous in those photos.
And why are people afraid of her stealing roles from young actresses? I'm not sure if it works in India but I dont think her doing a movie or two a year but overshadow other actresses altogether.
