Why New York and Not India ?
by Pooja Jain on Aug 20, 2007 02:38 PM

I respect Senior Bachchan right from my childhood when I first read his poem during my middle school . Indians give so much of respect to him and his descendants, he was been awarded with Padma bhushan and many other highly reputed entitlements. Considering this I can't understand why his birth centenary was celebrated in New York and not in India where Bachchan senior spent all his entire life. Why not such a celebration organised at varanasi.. the place that Bhachchans adore a lot. Is that place is only sufficient for receiving blessings from God !!!! ? Or receiving $150 for a ticket to such a show was not possible anywhere in India ???? Shame on recent Bhachchans ... you are master in showing off to the innocent public on India that how much do you love India and respect the Indian values. You are just making cash in whatever way its possible. Could you dare to spent whatever earning you have made from Bachchan sandhya to some charity in India ? no no way... you just can't you would need that money to build-up your business and give donations to your political hands.
