Guess, its a natural trend these days or may be its just the media.
For some reason, the Indian media has failed to innovate to the requirements of Indian people. They find it easier to just toe into US' way of projecting things.
Media is slowly becoming an entertainment business. Spice up, make it more sensational, attract viewers into ur article, are probably the focus of today's media world. The content really doesn't matter as much.
Its something we call 'forced response' marketing. Not a good thing for long run.
Someone needs to set the priority right for what matters require more attention. And 'humanitarian issues' should be at the top of that list. Women's rights, matters concerning poor & hungry people.
Its surprising how BCCI can pay a foreign coach millions of dollars, treat him like a king without doing much for local communities. Just an example! There's obviously more & more of such disparities, politicians top the chart.
