Independence Day in New Jersey
by Pradeep on Aug 14, 2006 10:07 PM

What a shame? We have a perception that Indian Americans are much polished, much dignified than people back home. All these is just a perception and yesterday's incident with Bipasha and the following function provved all wrong. How can even one imagine doing such a thing to such a famous personality? And if this can happen to a celebrity like Bipasha then what about wives, sisiters and mothers of common people like us?

We always try to adapt American culture/ American ascent, but how can we forget these basic descipline that is followed so religiously by all Americans here. Do we see one incident in any public places where Americans are involved. How can even we think of doing such things being so educated?

Guys, lets wake up, Please respect women. Dont forget that your mother is a women, your sister is a women and your wife is also one.

And coming to the organizers of the function, they did not even have a courtesy of giving a public apology to Bipasha, who was proRegarding celebrations, I would just say that it was just a means to make some money. The parade was full of advertisements/marketing with very less focus on the core issue- Indian Independence.
