Briefly looked at Salman's case. Few questions for Judicial system.
1) What is object of court of law? Penalize criminal or setting an example? 2) Why should a criminal be penalized? To correct him or Damage him? In Salman's case I am sure 5 year is going to damage him. In that case should judge be tried for awarding excessive punishemnt? Also I am sure tribulation he has undergone considering his stature is enough to correct him.
Finally as far as setting example is concerned there are many other ways than making somebody Scapegoat. And definitely gudge was in sick state of mind while reding verdict. Because it was his openion not court of law.
