Will this reduce our addiction to foreign oil? NO! Fuel is still cheaper in India than in Europe. It costs 93 rupees a litre in Germany.

Lesser Oil consumption means lesser forex outflow. Lesser Forex outflow means stronger rupee. Stronger Rupee means lesser inflation.

As simple as that.
