Exactly I will gift my car too, if I have public transport comparable to Japan & Europe. While I had to own a car in US when I was there I didn't buy one when I was Japan. With these kind of ideas from IAS officers like Raghavan it is no wonder the Petrol prices and taxation regime in India is in such a BAD shape... wake up from Raj period officer
