What do you mean by fooling people man?You are comparing apples with oranges! In your style of writing I shall respond:
True AN225 was bigger, but it was not built or used as commercial passenger airliner.
AN225 did not fly as fast as the A380. Max speed of AN225 ~0.7Mach; A380~0.96Mach.
When you say AN225 was heavier, that's not a very good thing to compare to prove better if it was heavier. The lighter the better up in the air.
A380 is way WAY more fuel efficient.
A380 made with a much larger proportion of composites (less than B787 though).=>Much more comfortable for people inside due to more humidity (skin feels less dry).
A380 was not built to compete with the AN225 in terms of payload capacity.Still,as a freight carrier (A380-800F) it can carry up to 152.4 tonnes. Not bad compared to 250 tonnes of A225.
FYI, the largest aircraft was the Hughes H-4, which however only flew once (but was not intended as a proper high-flying aircraft).
And if you really do not understand what you are doing, then in simple words, you are comparing a minivan to a truck! You cannot compare the A380 with the A225!It's ridiculous! Nothing against the AN225,but the comparison is ridiculous. If you still want to compare, even then the A380 is not "crap" against the AN225. The A380 has a range 3 times longer,it requires a shorter take-off run,it can fly higher,is more cost efficient. Also,Lighter=>Better!!!!
Rediff is not "fooling" people man. It's got the news, and it is correct!
