Whatever you say about It sector may be correct but that does not absolve so called leaders like "Naik" and pother captains of indian industry. Till late 90s they were paying peanuts and at the same time IT arrived and sucked engineers by the time they realized that young talent can not be taken for granted it was too later and rot was set in. Indian manufacturing industry payed no attention to R&D till late 90s till they were pushed to wall by MNC onslaught so engineers were redundent and Graduate Engineering tranees were payed peanuts while managers got fat salary. Though most of the young starry eyed engineers wanted to work in core sector but pathatic salaries forced them out.
