This list (which is pretty false) goes by size not if its Indian or not if you want Indian banks look it up.

Largest banks ranked by Forbes which is a company that actually has anylst all over the world so their data has less margin for error compared to the rediff people who just have nothing better to do but randomly make stupid lists with false contents.
Wish Indian banks were on the top 20 but unfortunately....
State Bank of India is the highest ranked Indian Bank.
The list is dominated by banks form US and UK.
I think by next year more US banks will be on the list because big international american companies are changing their strategy to banking becuase of the current economic crisis.

Some of these new big banks will be:
Goldman Sachs
AIG (which is being nationalized)
Freddie Mac
Fannie May

Just as a point of interest the largest company in the world is Exxon Mobile(US.

which made a profit of $(US)41 billion dollars and has a market value of $466 billion dollars.
