Wrong Statement
by Amit GK on Mar 18, 2008 03:29 PM

It is so strange when people herald the rise of battery-driven cars, as the end of pollution in the world.

What they dont realize is that the electricity is still being generated by thermal power stations that use non-renewable sources - the most common of which in India is coal. It is a different thing in Europe, USA, etc. where nuclear energy is more widely used for power generation.

So essentially what you are doing is not curbing on pollution at all, but only shifting its source from the CAR to a Thermal Power Station.

Isnt the logic so evident for anyone to understand it??
