Budget 2008: Politics over economics
by sathyam guda on Mar 01, 2008 04:59 PM

Continuation to my earlier message posted:Important test of this so called greatest budget 2008 is : Can the coming budgets/theme of budget/frame work of budget (assuming UPA comes to power in next elections and PC would be the FM)be just as the one that is present budget of PC. Is there any one to ask this question. Yes there would be ready made (Though detouring/camoflaged/evading type of stock answers that is playing with words/jargon/and financial concepts and theories). But one should ask these questions. Further can our FM say/assure that the ill effects of present budget will not be covered with merciless/inhuman budgets of coming years (If UPA comes to power again). People should ask this question. Infact there should be a law not allow any government to present a budget in election year. That willmay dis allow election budgets (Nut sure, politics can find a way to find soolution to that also). Unless this question is asked strongly, we can not be sure whether the present budget is politics over economics or economics over politics. General and average public will be able to analyse and assimilate the budget nuances to some extent but the trueness of budget qua;lity is how it gets reflectec in subsequent budgets?
