Other states cannot replicate the kerala model
by Senthil Kumar on Jun 27, 2008 08:44 PM

The growth as is clearly evident is clearly driven by services and not manfacturing growth. This might suit a state like kerala which has the capability to export its educated unemployed. But for the masses in the Bimaru states, it is manufacturing which has to drive growth. All of us know that manufacturing can never raise its head in kerala and West bengals which are the last bastions of the left.

Other states cannot blindly replicate the kerala model. What they need to replicate is ofcourse the provision of education healthcare and transportation in rural areas
