Failure of Union Government measures !
by AAMEC CHEMINEER on Jun 12, 2008 12:37 PM

Banks are not ready to implement the lines of the union govt. They simply ignore what the farmer actually needs and act on their own. Everything what Mr.FM says is an eyewash.

Fresh agri loans are not given in many rural branches of PSU banks due to loan waiver. Genuine farmers get much affected Many banks don't consider agricultural income as an income source and surety for future payments even if it is properly assessed. So, the farmers cannot able to avail personal loans and housing loans. I don't know how an affluent farmer who has more than 5 acres of irrigationable land is different from tax paying salaried class?.

PSU bank's attitude against farmers had changed very much and they didn't want to service farmers. Unless the banks change their attitude, the UPA regime will definitely fail.
