Southern Drought will wash away the GDP gains
by Rajendra Nayak on Jul 18, 2008 11:18 PM

It is ironical that not even a single MP is talking of the dry spell in the 4 southern states which are contributing a lot to Indian economy.
The monsoon has failed and the agriculturists are in a state of shock. The N-deal is much important to us than the drought.
Poor state of affairs of a country with one billion population who will face acute food shortage in the coming days. There is no place to purchase the food from because agriculture yield has dropped all over the world. Australia is facing its worst DROUGHT.
With 1 billion people and the DROUGHT of the CENTURY in the anvil let us see how our MPs will feed the public.
Hope the public will not be told to eat nuclear fuel and die.
