Not sure about the truth of the story but would like to highlight/guide the innocent souls here about the laws in India (since we're very good at pointing fingers at others - that's the sorry state of affairs of Indian society).
Please read the Domestic Violence Act and you will realize what you (Males and their families in India) are up against.
Along with this, NCW (National Commission of Women) is proposing a bill for Sexual harrasement at workplace leaving a wide gap for misuse. In fact, all the women supported laws are being misused by unscurplous women to extort money and property from the husband. While the men orgnaizations figting for stopping the misuse, the same is being opposed by NCW since this is the only way they would let a unscrupulous woman make money and the system gets a cut out of it. With the enactment of this law (as-it-is), more and more top shots in the industry will be targets for misuse since it is an easy money making opportunity. Even if a female employee is not getting promotion due to non-performance, she can threaten her boss with a law suit and get the undeserved promotion.
It would be awesome to get this bill tabled approved as-it-is since this is the only way misuse can spread and government can wake up to the dagger which will bleed the industry.
