Filth Bowl of India....
by Rajesh Shetty on Jul 12, 2008 07:55 PM

Its also the filth bowl of India. I dont call it development, when people dont even have good air to breathe, clean water to drink. Unfortunately, we feel that all these things make up a great city. Most unfortunately, we still dont have a National Policy which curbs unchecked growth of any city, which then means, pollution, slums, filth, rat race for survival, roads turning into rivers. Its time we have a policy which call for a population cap per square km of any city. Cities like Chandigarh should be adopted instead of saying that the whole of India should settle in filth bowls like Bombay, Calcutta and Madras. Even Blore is slowly becoming one...just wait till all those high rise apartments are occupied. What a country needs is all round, all region development instead of one or two cities getting overcrowded and being called commercial capitals, in fact they are also garbage, slum and filth bowls.
