RE:What a joke

I think that is what it is actually meant to be. Do not do a Ph.D hoping to make money out of it. Do it only if you are genuinely interested in doing research and have little interest in social life, travel, vacations etc. I have seen many Ph.Ds crying looking at M.S and B.S degree people earning more time and money than them in life. I am sorry for them for they like something else but chose to do a Ph.D for reasons they best know. May be they could not do anything else. I am not sure. But one will never be happy doing something expecting something out of it. Doing it with passion and no expectation gives immense personal joy and pleasure though these emotions aid for nothing to be successful in social life.
