Dear Harsha, You are right. But I am not sure whether Edison or Bell thought of being rich. Probably they got rich in the process of their research. Anyway, I am not sure. What I am sure about is that I am suggesting one possible way of being happy for people who suffer from "I am doing a Ph.D - I am the most hardworking guy in the world - I should get rewarded/paid more than anybody else" syndrome. If a person is free from this syndrome, he will definitely be happy. If quality work comes paid, it means the work has been done for money not for personal satisfaction of the doer. But you are right. I also mentioned that in my last statement "... aid for nothing ... social life".
