An incopmpetent boss can be a nightmare !

A true boss is someone who acts as a role model for his subordinates, always inspiring them to put in their best efforts, away from the 9 to 5 regimen. The employees are so inspired that they forget to look at the clock, forget their week- ends & are willing to do any thing to see their boss happy. Do such bosses exist in reality ? Yes, believe me, I have worked for some.

This true boss is able to draw complete willing loyalty from his subordinates, not based on fear. He retains this loyalty by demonstrating on a continuing basis, his superior leadership skills and acts as a role model.

To the top management, he represents & escalates periodically the subordinates%u2019 interests and gets internal solutions in real time. To the subordinates, he acts as the face of top manage- ment, setting the vision and goals, that need to be achieved thro%u2019 sheer teamwork and makes sure the targets are achieved. More importantly, he has a rewards system in place that rewards excel lent performance in a timely manner.

Do such excellent bosses exist ? It is a pleasure to work for them and people generally are willing to give up even two years, of course, the last 2 years of their life span, for an opportunity, to work for such people.

Unfortunately, the tribe of such bosses is declining and with the onset of US companies into India, they are being by replaced by the %u201C2 minute noodle%u201D bosses who want to pursue their own personal agendas all the time to somehow reach t
