Hi, I am joining this discussion table a wee bit late. But Mr Sudhakaran Manoharan appears to be a Chennai chauvinist, belting out statistics to prove that Chennai is ahead of Bangalore. It clearly betrays his insecurity. But the fact is that, Chennai has always been bigger and it is only in the last decade and a half that Bangalore has made rapid strides, to eclipse it in importance, if not in economics. Clearly, Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore are the three happening cities in India with Chennai displaying solid industrial base and Kolkata showing occasional business resurgence. The next on line are Pune and Hyderabad. MD.
