Overall, quite a dismal scenario in India. Strange that the health cover is also liable for service tax.
In my company, we have to buy cover for parents - it is not automatically available. More so, for anybody except self, I have to dish out 20% of the costs. I find this extremely unfair. A good pointer was the monthly income schemes but how many people have 10 lakh rupees in invest in such schemes? These solutions mostly suited the already well-off. If I have 10 lakh, i would consider investing a part of it in equities. What good is a 7500 monthly income these days?
And mr bong writer - can you please cut down on the unnecessary names of family members and include more non-bong examples in future?
