You are absolutely wrong Mr.Paniker! Only a year back or so, we read in newspapers that FCI godowns are filled to the brim and there are no space avaialble to store grains. And see the stark picture we have been presented today. Rice and wheat are becoming dearer and dearer. There are no counts of incidents when food grains are wasted due to fault policies of the government. it is estimated that rats alone store grains that can sustain our population for another 10 years! Then the policies of total neglect on agriculture. In your own state, if you own any agricultural land, do you think you will be able to cultivate anyting there? Your CPIM workers will put hindrance right from sowing seeds till cultivation. The farmers do not get the enough return and how do you expect them to do agriculture? The government was not giving good support prices to the agricultural products and youths of rural india are attracted to cities where they do nothing productice, except while collar jobs like you and me.
