Electricity from Stoves
by Rich Man on Apr 12, 2008 12:32 PM

This work / concept is not new, neither is the concept of electricity generation from Thermoelectric modules. FLEXITRON a company based in Bangalore has already made prototypes of electricty producing stoves as early as in 1993 and even demonstrated them,They can be conatcted at : flexitron@yahoo.com.

The cost for production of some 'useful' electricty is what has stopped the products from being commercialised. It is a different matter that if subsidised it could be bought by villagers but as in any programmes of subsidised products the concept will eventually 'die' , only impulsive purchase by villagers as an essential item to improve their quality of life will make a long term impact for the end utilisation of such concept / products.
