Commodity Exchange
by Menghraj Punjabi on Apr 04, 2008 12:53 PM

I am not an expert but I blv that commodity exchange is main culprit in driving prices of essential commodity (except Wheat, Rice and some pulses). The best would be ban trading in commodities that are used to calculate WPI or Inflation. Trading in commodities exchange results in speculation of prices on some of the essential commodities. Also in last few years farm produce has reduced. Govt needs to improve this as well by providing technical assistence to Farmers.
