Over the last four years of UPA Govt rule, India has been reduced to a food deficit nation from a food surplus nation. We have to import edible oils, pulses and even wheat This has happened because the Govt had no time to look in to the state of agriculture in the country. They have been more concerned with the vote bank politics and principles of muslims first and dynasty first. Issues of governance have been given a go by. Pigmies have come to rule the country. They have no broader vision and foresight.Our agriculture minister is in fact minister for cricket. He is not concernd with the growth of agriculture sector.With this kind of situation, the scarcity of food items and inflation was bound to happen. UPA Govt has destroyed decades' achievement in food self sufficiency
