Classical no doubt.. its fantastic.But its exposure is limited to a particular class. There is no support, no interest from mass.
Now the world is being such a smaller, people want to try something which is easy to learn, easy to understand. Indian youth will enjoy rock, but not classical.Because to listen rock, u don't require any knowledge about it. Just dance as if you are in hysteria, thats it. But for classical, you need to have concentration, you need to know types of ragas, Now we are living in fast food era. Who will spend time to learn Classical? Tell me guys,How many metro city youth knows about what "raga" is? If a metro city youth doesn't know abt it, then no question about rural youths.
