Distorted Fact
by Anand Bharadwaj on Sep 26, 2007 04:53 PM

I think the author has not judged all the facts.
For example:
1. The Elevated Rail transport System is being built and is on track.
2. The trees that are cut for this project are plucked from the mother root and planted nearby. This is a huge success on MG road experimentation. Do not worry Bangalore will not lose trees because of road expansion.
3. BMTC- Bangalore's bus service was the first in the country to adhere to Bharat II (Euro I) emission standards.
4. The dust in bangalore is not from the vehicles, but from the construction activities all around the city.
5. The City is expanding radially in all directions and it is no more required for the commuter to criss cross the city if he needs to go from one end to other. (This is in sharp contrast to Mumbai, which has developed in linear fashion).

I suggest the author to live and experience in Bangalore first before writing this article, somewhere in Delhi.
