i agree there are a substantial number of government officials who are corrupt. but there is a equal number who are sincere,honest to their job and silently suffer and get frustrated due to the wrong doing of their colleagues and higher officials. the root of corruption and inefficiency is the nexus between the political power (politicians) and the administration (government officials). If the political power does not interfere in every aspect of administration there would not be as rampant corruption as today and slowly but surely we will get rid of it and the nation will progress. the benefits given to a government employee is a compensation of his honest efforts to the nation considering he is not corrupt. but this very concept has reached a point of criticism and rightly so because the political power abuses administrative power. the administration unwillingly and in some instances willingly accepts this. many a times a honest officer cannot do his duty due the political interferences, baited in terms of illegal money and property and if he/she does not bend to the wishes then organised crime takes care of the uncooperative official. under these circumstances how does the administration function and how can it do its job properly. i do agree a official can show stiff resistance and perish for the sake of his country but how many in real world do it. it happens in movies. if not today some decades down this will change when the awareness among the masses increases. this wi
