When can we stop criticising
by on Mar 19, 2007 12:03 PM

We are feeling bad because there were so much hype before the budget, but it didn't happen. But it will be dificult to reduce taxes further. Nobody is talking about the changes done in last 3-4 years. What was to be done is already done. No it is individual's responsibility to pay proper tax. It is the IT Department's responsibility to catch tax evadors.

Next point is where the money goes. It is true that there is corruption. We are not geting proper output. But somebody else (with the exception of corrupted people), is getting the benifit who is in really need (even thouth everybody who are in really need are not getting the benifit). Atleast we are helping others indirectly. But we can't just blame and seat quite. Instead of blaming the system if we can start working at the root level, the things will definitely change.

If we compare our taxation with others in US or Europe, they pay much more tax than us. They also get real benifit of that. Our economy is growing fast. Then why can't we???

Best Regards,
Sumit.
