I was using Citibank card when I was in Delhi in 2003. My credit limit was 15000.I was using that card and paying money on time, but on Nov 2004 I shifted to Chennai.So I stopped using that card. My credit limit was Rs15000 and I have used around Rs 8000. On Jan 2005 I wanted to pay the old due amt but when I checked my mail it shows that my cr. card due is Rs 42000. I got afraid. I stopped paying any amt. to the bank and called Citibank callcentre.Then I came to know that the bank had issued me a new card with enhanced cr. limit. That card was issued to unknown person without my knowledge. That person had used the card and withdrawn Rs 27000 for credit card in Delhi and used for some other purpose which i don't know. But the thing is it all comes to Rs 42000. I have all the evidence that i never got the new card and that i have not used the card.. Now after the bank tracked me somehow and threatning to pay Rs 42000. sir please tell me what to do? waiting eagerly for the reply
