Help: - Issue with Standard Chartered Bank (Credit Card)

Sir / Madam,

I Wish to introduce myself as Ashok.R, Working for private company in chennai. I would like to highlight and seek an resolution to a problem of mine with the Standard Chartered Bank (Credit Card).

On November 2004, I had applied for Standard Chartered Credit Card ( Card Type:- Utsav Credit Card) and used it without any issue till 1st week of february, 2005. It was during mid of February 2005, I noticed that another Credit Card (Card Type:- Master Gold Card), Which i have not applied had been added on to my account. I immediately called up the bank's customer care, filed a complaint regrading the same and deactivated the duplicate card. After 3 weeks, I received a call from the bank's Fraud control department to have an enquiry for the duplicate card. I was directed to meet one Mr. Rajiv Rathinam, Regional Manager(South) for fraud control unit, who discussed the issue and he reassured me that i'll not be held responsible for any usage of the duplicate card issued by the bank, against my name. I took his word for the clouser of this issue at that time. However, I find the issue is still open, where my name has been added / reflected to the global defaulter's list maintained by the RBI, i.e, (I have actually been held responsible for the usage of the duplicate card.)


Due to this my personal loan application for an immediate need with Citibank and ICICI bank have both been rejected citing reason for sanction of loan,
