loyalty & commitment
by cryztal on Jun 05, 2007 03:09 PM

Today companies look for talent n skill sets for faster growth and higher turnover. Loyalty, commitment are things which companies donot associate with now.
The more unfortunate part is an employee who contributes to the development of the orgn. may get ignored to a newer entrant on the basis of his/her age. What companies forget is not all employees can be 100% achievers.
There can only be one Tl, one Mgr or One head in a dept. But the dept needs many people to operate and function. Which when apprasing the employee we tend to ignore.
Similarly the older people can contribute in various aspects of social development, if not economic. What they need is encouragement. Youngsters worry on rigidity of thr older lot but how flexible are we?
No wonder India despite attaing the GDP targets has a long way to go for social, infrastuctural & cultural development.
