I once heard a famous personality talk about these "slender" IT graduates (Electronics, CS, IS and Telecom) and how sissy like they are. In fact he called them highly paid call center employees. He advocated youngsters to opt for manly and real hard working branches such as mechanical and civil which is real engineering. I think the chips manufacturing for these sissys is also designed and manufactured by mechanical engineers. Being myself a mechanical engineer I fully agree with the great person and appeal to all future engnieering aspirants to opt for the evergreen branches namely mechanical, civil and electrical and shun the other branches which are only the off-shoots of the main branches.
