India is a heavily taxed state with no benefits for the tax payer. Social security is something unheard of. Tax payer is harrased and treated like dirt. Which explains why we have one of the biggest parallel economies (Black money). A common question most of us ask, Why pay tax when the govt dosent do anything when we are in deep shit?
We should need no more reason to understand why we have a paltry 30 million taxpayers in a country of more than a billion (my googled results threw up that figure). So what do they do for revenue ???
They tax us,TaX Us and TAX US. My income has been steadily increasing over the years, but i dont seem to enjoy most of it, coz most of it goes as TAX (arghhh i hate that word).
On top of this im taxed for everything i buy right from my underwear to my hair oil. I am taxed when i buy a car, when i drive a car (toll), fuel and even when i even get it serviced. Is there something i can do without paying tax? Make babies??? Nah they will TAX more then. At times i wonder when i will find some solace from this crazy system of TAX.
The finance minister is so worried about growing credit in the system. He could probably look at increasing the little concession he provides us under 80cc? Makes sense ???
Someone said TAXI is the most commonly used word, In india i guess it is TAX - I (income).
