Hold on, Hold on. I live in US as well. Of course there are problems of different nature everywhere on earth. But we are dealing with some of the most basic issues that India has not been able to deal with. The same issues have been long taken care of by several third world countries.
The problem of illiteracy, poverty, lack-of-civic sense among indian nationals, communalism, nepotism, bribery and the list goes on. Just this past year, I was in India and the way Indians treat Indian nationals at the int'l airport is a prime example. You go to JFK airport, they greet you with a smile if you are a foreigner and start a conversation or two if you are a US citizen. But in India, boy oh boy.. this guy was so harsh, extremely rude, lacked common sense and demanded that I pay him x number of rupees cuz I had taken so much of his "valuable" time in asking questions on the connecting flights.
