NANO is a fantastic achievement. Like NANO the group has many laurels to boast of, which is a matter of pride for every Indian. 40 years back, for 2 years, I worked in Tisco for a private company. That is when I got direct exposure to TATA culture; Even the workers used to feel proud that he is working for TATA, which reminded me of the pride of ordinary Germans about Mercedez. Much before labor laws were introduced in India, Tata introduced the laws & benefits for their employees. We all know, for many years, Bihar's law and order problem is acute; but like an oasis in desert, it was not so in Jamshedpur, which I still consider to be one of the best cities of India. If one visits the office, looking after township, one will see sayings of Jamshedji on town planning. I lived in Mumbai & my co. was doing business with many Tata Cos. So I had to visit Bombay house often, where I saw JRD. I never interacted with him, but his modesty, kindness, simplicity and care for old employees at all levels astonished me. In seventies, once I stood just behind him in the security queue; he was having a heavy bag; I offered to carry it. He turned around, thanked me, kept his hand on my shoulder and said, "son, the day I am unable to carry my bag, that's the day for me to retire". Ratan Tata has caried this glorious legacy on his broad shoulders quite efficiently. So I join my countrymen to say KUDOS to the House of the great TATA's and Ratan Tata
