There are just too many cabs in Mumbai. Most of the time, you find cabs parked all over, the private cars dont get any parking. Fact is, Mumbai doesnt need so many cabs, the cab drivers dont get enough fare the whole day and are underutilising their vehicles. The government is doing well not to give new licences,but should also start cutting down numbers at the rate of 5 to 7% per year for the next five years at least. That will make the profession more paying for the remaining ones and make life easier for other motorists who pay through their nose for the raods etc.
