The RTO and Transport Commissioner in Mumbai seem to be indifferent to the plight of citizens since long. The taxis are so old and creaky that it is a shame. We immediately create a poor impression with visitors coming to our city from airports or railway stations. Besides three out of five taxis have faulty meters.The worst is the syndicates at both airports.Good taxis are never allowed to get in the queues to pick up passengers. Ask any decent taxi driver.One has to use the worst taxis from airports.Nowhere in China, USA, UK, Singapore, Thailand or any developing country will the RTO allow the taxis that we are compleed to use in Mumbai as we have no alternative.
